ACT OF PROPERTY OF LAND (AWZ)

an enfranchisement decision issued by a municipality, stating the acquisition of real estate. It is the basis for revealing the new state of ownership in the land register and land records.

ADR

is the international abbreviation for the convention that defines the conditions of transporting dangerous goods by road. ADR distinguishes classes of dangerous goods such as: explosives and explosive objects, gases, flammable liquids, spontaneously combustible materials, poisonous materials, infectious materials, radioactive materials.

AMBIENT

a term meaning storage at room temperature. The requirement applies to an assortment of items such as electrical goods, toys and paper.

ARCHEOLOGICAL RESEARCH

excavations and analysis conducted before or during the construction of a project in areas of the conservation zone, in the vicinity of archaeological sites or in the immediate vicinity of objects listed in the register of monuments.

ASTI / TI (Above Standard Tenant Improvement/ Tenant Improvement)

the unbudgeted cost of developing a facility to meet a tenant's needs. It is charged to the property owner.

ATTIC

a structural element of a building that extends above the roof surface. In the case of flat roofs, the attic plays a significant role in the drainage of rainwater.

BREAK OPTION

the possibility of early termination of a lease agreement with the incurring of costs included as a condition for breaking the agreement.

BREEAM

a method of certifying buildings to determine how environmentally and user-friendly they are.

GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATION

a study to identify the soil and water conditions that make it possible to design the most favourable alignment of a building's foundations.

LAND BANK

is the accumulation of land by purchasing it and changing the building conditions in order to re-sell it to targeted entities.
